On Beauty

What is beauty? 

It is too often simplified, robbed of inherent complexity. 

It is more than feeling attractive. 

It is more than being adored.

It is in the little moments. 

Beauty is found as sunlight dapples your hair. 

in the morning air as it hits your lungs. 

behind each bend in the road, 

                                       if we pursue it. 

Beauty is everywhere. 

in our failures, mistakes, and pasts.

in the hard moments. 

The good moments. 

Every moment. 

There is beauty in every set of ashes. 

because beauty Himself was nailed to a cross. 

And the good news: beauty rose again. 

There will always be trials in this life, but: beauty. It will be our guiding Light.
